| This is a
collection of information and pictures of projects that are still going
or long gone. Active
worklogs will be updated and reported in the 'whats new' heading below.
There are many failed experiments on these pages so caution is needed
when looking at these for ideas or advice. |
| The Suicide
Scooter: It started innocently enough, but as work progressed it turned into a truly scary machine to ride. Will void life insurance by using it. Engine work is being undertaken that should increase the chance of a serious injury by at least 40%, fun times ahead. |
| Toyota AE86: Known as a "Sprinter" here and has received many non Sprinter parts. A very long and extensive project thats not even close to ending. |
| Trikes
1, 2 & 3: Starting with what was one of my biggest projects yet with my first design to the third which I still ride today. |
| Trike 4: A very new project that goes one ahead in the complexity of my previous designs to still include the traditional front wheel steering but with all three wheels powered. |
| SQ Engineering's Workshop: The long term task of setting up an efficient and multi-use workshop. Involves some unconventional thinking. |
| Custom built two stroke engine: The long term task of setting up an efficient and multi-use workshop. Involves some unconventional thinking. |
| Upgrading the batteries on my portable power tools: The battery pack is almost always the weakest link in any portable power tool. This shows various experiments leading up to a final highly effective solution. |
| Hercus Lathe: The partial restore and modification of my workshop lathe: a vintage ('50s) Australian made "Hercus 9 inch". |
| Workshop sound system: Setting up some tunes in the workshop. Includes custom speaker enclosures and adjustable brackets for maximum result given a modest budget. |
| Custom Arcade Machine: The modification of a vintage arcade unit to work as an emulated multi-game machine. |
